Best Baby Gift Ever

So this doesn’t really have much to do with health, health anxiety, or stuff like that….but I had to share this amazing baby gift that I just got for a friend!

When my kids were little we didn’t have something like this.  We would put a blanket over the baby carrier and then hope that it didn’t fall on our baby’s face and suffocate them.  Now there are all these adorable car seat covers and they’re super awesome.  They’re made of stretch jersey material and they stretch right over the car seat.  So there’s nothing you have to worry about falling into your baby’s face.  It keeps strangers from coming over and wanting to touch your little babe…a must during cold and flu season!

As if covering up the car seat wasn’t enough this little cover does a lot more.  It can be used as a nursing cover, high chair cover, and also in shopping carts at the store!  Wha!!  That’s so COOL!

This set also came with 3 really cute bandana bibs that are all the rage right now in baby bib fashion!

I’m just so stinkin excited to give this to my friend because I just know that she is going to love it!  Heck…I don’t even have a baby and I love it!

I did receive this item for free in exchange for this review.  I am not paid or rewarded for a good review though and everything stated here is my own honest and unbiased opinion after thoroughly using and testing the product.

Infrared Boobies?

I have a friend who is about to have her first baby and I could NOT be more excited for her!  I’ve been slowly picking things up here and there that I think she might like, or that I think would be good for her and her little one.

The other day I came across this….an infrared nursing bra.  My first thought was…infrared??  What tha?  Have you ever even heard of that?  I sure hadn’t!  So I had to check it out!

The tag say that it helps to stimulate milk production and also helps to ease the pain of engorgement!  Wow!  Who even knew??  It looks great, comfy, and easy to use.  It’s also really soft!   So of course I picked it up and this other one too!

The seamless nursing bra is just what it says…a bra that doesn’t show any seams through your shirt.  It’s my favorite of the two actually because it looks and feels really expensive and I think it’s also going to be super comfy.  It’s also really soft!

I can’t wait for her to have this baby so I can snuggle and cuddle and hug on a little bundle of joy again….and then when he/she poops, cries, or anything gross I can hand him right back!  LOL!

Getting back into Shape!

I’m not a huge shapewear fan…not usually.  The thing about these shapers that is different is that they are designed for moms to wear postpartum.  Anyone who has had babies knows how hard it was to start feeling yourself again and to get back into shape.  These shapers are designed to help do that!

I received two different styles…a tank style and an underbust style.  Both were made from the same material.  It’s very soft and stretchy.  I like that it’s breathable doesn’t seem too hot.  I don’t want to add anything that’s going to make me feel hotter!  LOL!

They recommended that I get a size smaller than i usually wear, but these were pretty tight.  I think I should have gotten them true to my regular size.  They did fit…but felt pretty tight…although that could be exactly how they’re supposed to fit.  They definitely pushed everything down and together and sucked it all in!

Both would be easy to wear while breastfeeding which is a big plus!

Slings for Things!

I have a friend that uses these adorable slings for her baby and I just love them!  I totally wish I had them when my kiddos were tiny.  But…even though I don’t have a baby to carry in one…I have one now for fun and for when I’m watching my friend’s tiny babe!

IMG_2449[1]

These slings are so comfortable…way better than those Baby Bjorn things that I used to have.  The material is very soft and comfortable.  It’s breathable for hot summer days.  I like that there is enough fabric for a plus sized mom or a tiny one!   The plastic rings are very durable and sturdy and appear to be able to hold up to anything!  One of the best things about it is that it all folds up back into the same attached holder….so nice if you need to throw it in a baby bag.

I really think these would make a great gift for an expecting mom or for a babyshower!  Dads would love them too!  When we were testing this thing out my friend’s baby wasn’t having any part of going into it at the time so we worked in her fur baby!

Have you tried Bamboo??

I’ve been interested in bamboo as material for fabric for a while.  I hear that it’s a good alternative to cotton and that it’s good for the environment and for us!  So when I was asked to check out these cute baby washcloths I was excited!  I worried about the texture of the fabric because I wasn’t sure how bamboo would feel…so that’s what I checked out first!

When these came I loved how cutely they were packaged.  It’s an adorable little gift set that you could use for a baby shower…or if you have several friends who are pregnant you could break this set up and use 2-3 and add them to a gift!

IMG_2233[1]

These cloths are so so so SOFT!  When I first took it out of the package I was very surprised!  They feel so smooth and silky.  You definitely wouldn’t scratch your baby with these.  They don’t feel harsh or abrasive at all!  When you run them under water they feel even more smooth.  They lathered nicely and worked like a charm!

I will be ordering another set of these for sure to use as add-ons for baby gifts.  I have several friends who are expecting and these are so affordable that I can’t wait to throw them in the bag with the rest of their gift!

Baby Fix!

Is there anything better than an adorable, happy, chubby baby?  I don’t think so.  I was able to spend some time today with a friend’s little cutie…and I was so glad!  My kiddos are both too old to cradle and carry, so this was a nice break from talking about Minecraft and complaining that they never get to do anything.

When my kiddos were tiny we didn’t have cool slings like this to carry them around in.  I did have a baby bjorn…but that was never comfortable for the baby or me!  This thing was so cool!  It wasn’t hot, or uncomfortable.  It was also lightweight and breathable.  I was super jealous!  Those things are all a plus for a mom who still shops in the plus sized department!

I thought that since something this cool was around it was a sign that meant I should have another one!  I explained this to the hubs and he said no way!  :-/  Oh well…at least I have an awesome friend who will let me play with her little angel any time!  🙂
